Playgrounds
There are no shortages of safe places for the kids in this area. Bennett Park, Jacob K. Javits Playground, J. Hood Wright Park, Dolphin Park, and the Nature Discovery Playground are favorites.
Located in Fort Tryon Park, the Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art that houses nearly 5,000 medieval works in a building comprised of several structures from Europe.

Tucked under the Manhattan side of the GWB, the officially named Jeffrey's Hook Lighthouse was originally moved here from New Jersey in 1921 and is the only lighthouse left in Manhattan.
